So I rounded out one of the bolts that hold the bed rail into the bed. When installing my new bed rail. I went to the dealer and they ordered me a new one. Guy said it costs around $0.75, but gave it to me for free. Had it at the dealer the next morning. I still have the package the new bolt came in. When I find it I'll send you the bolt part number, but if you go to the dealer they can find the part number from a part diagram as well very easily.

Do you mean the part number in the very first post on this topic? The bolts to attach it are already there. Just remove them. Put the rail on and reattach the bolts. Easy.

DeiselDave12, thank you so much. That part number will be greatly appreciated and exactly what I'm looking for. Trying not to deal with my local stealership if at all possible.

Here is the mounting hardware screw part number: 90148-A0006

The part name on the package is "Screw, Hexalobular" (Whatever that means). It takes a Torx-30 to install.

Can you not just reuse the screws already in the bed?

Yes, you can. I rounded one of the screws out thus needing it replaced, and WhiteFishTacos bought a used truck where the previous owner removed both the rail and screws.

You could reuse them or you could pop down to the hardware store and run a #6-1.0 x 25mm hex bolt also. It would be a direct swap.

My bolts were $0.43 each and it was way closer than the dealer plus I can use a 10mm socket on them and not mess with the T30 Torx anymore.

Installed mine this morning along with my rocky mounts. I kept the one off my truck before I traded in was thankful I notice the 16's didn't have it installed.

This thread is useful, ordering the head rail today.

I have a side question somewhat un-related but I didn't know if it warranted starting a new thread...

Does anyone know where I can find a parts guide for the 16 Tacoma?

Does your tailgate close with your bike mounted in the rocky mounts, or do you have to push the bike to the side to make it fit?

I'm thinking like a trifold all they way up against the back window may have enough space to use with the bike mounts as well. Anyone meow?

For those who ordered new rails, did they come with the end caps or did they need to be ordered spate. I ask cause mine did not come with the end caps.

Just installed my front bed rail with end caps tonight. Glad to have it. Thanks for the find.

Had to order end caps separately. Got them at the Stealership as I found it was cheaper.

You might be able to find an 05-14 in a junkyard and pull the rail out. Mine came off my totalled '12 and it fit like a champion.
