Perfect fit. Like others have said, installed in 5 minutes. Bought on Amazon and fulfilled by Mid Atlantic Toyota parts. Ordered on Thursday and it was at my house Saturday.

Good pic, was wondering if it would fit under the tonneau. Assume it would but I haven't looked yet

Installed my first dimple then removed it.
The mounting hardware is just the bolts already attached to the front of the bed. Take off the bolts currently on the front of the bed, and put the rail on with the same bolts.

Maybe a stupid question.... does this work with the tonneau cover without having to remove the cover every time to go biking??

When you say fits perfect with the tonneau cover, do you mean it fits perfectly with the mounts in place for the OEM tonneau? Trying to figure out if I can add this and still keep everything in place for the OEM cover when I use it. Thanks!

Hi, did the back pieces to attach the mounts to the rail system come in the box? or do you have to tell them that it's for a Tacoma so they send you those pieces?
    Thanks in advance.

Any rail locks available to hold the front wheel once removed from the bike?

Why did Toyota go cheap and not give us front bed rail? I bet most gen 2 owners never use it. Wonder if anyone is willing to donate? Gen 3 really went cheap i.e: no unlocking hardware on the passenger side what gives?

The bed rail I don't really understand at all. However, Toyota is notorious for de-contenting between generations. For example at the end of the run for the 4th gen 4Runners, they came with factory projector lights and LED tails. When the 5th gen came out it was released with reflectors in the headlights and incandescent tails. About 5ish years in they will do a mid-cycle refresh and add the old stuff back in (leds, more trim options, etc) to keep the line "up to date."

Just FYI the bed rail from a Tundra also fits but you need to drill new mounting holes. Glad I took mine off when I sold the Tundra. I'll drill 4 holes to save $40 :D

No clue on the Tacoma specific part number, but going by the Tundra rails which also use T-30 screws, 66.5 inch-pounds (7.5 N.m). That's the best I can find and it seemed reasonable given the amount of work it took to get them out.

Please, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

So are the nuts (between bed and cab) fixed in place? Or did you have to hold onto then? If so, how did you get back there?
