Front brake rotors warped after 15000 miles

    I'm not sold on this "not warped" theory. I have read all the articals on this matter but if that was the case dealers wouldn't have a 12/12 warranty on brakes with an op code specifically for "warped/out of spec runout". I'm not an engineer but have been a MDT for 11 years and have discarded hundreds of rotors with runout so great that if I cut them straight they'd be beyond spec.

    The warp myth is so big that even legitimate mechanics use the term. Brake rotor manufacturers also admit it's a myth. If they warped turning the rotor would do nothing. It's just pad material buildup causing a pulse.

    With excessive heat, the metal becomes soft enough for the pad to wear down the rotor surface. Slightly less dense spots in the metal wear down faster and make the harder spots stick out, causing "warping"

    Not the same as a untrue bicycle wheel but still warped as in not flat/straight

    There is a large difference between warping a rotor and a manufacturing defect that would be classed as excessive run out or even "less dense spots in the metal" ( a statement that I doubt the veracity of). If you are getting the brakes that hot, it isn't a problem with the brakes it is you.

    I stop calling it a manufacturing defect when it's basically every OE rotor

    My 2015 Tacoma has the warped rotor feeling too. started around 18,000 miles ago. First tried rotating the tires but no change. I also noticed maybe rear drums were out of adjustment and after doing that the pedal feels firmer but the shimmy is still there.
