    Hi,

I am new here. 2023 Tacoma TRD....

    My problem is the following....

If I am going downhill and make a slight curve my front brakes begin to lock up screeching... like it wants to take control of the vehicle.. very unnerving...

The truck has 285's .... I was told by Toyota dealer it is normal as they do that as I have larger tires and it can be front heavy so it is natural..

Another guy told me there is a gyro that needs to be adjusted..

Anyone here have that issue and if so do you have a solution?

    Thanks in advance.....

Are you applying brake when this happens, or is this the automagical stuff kicking in?

It feels like they are locking up... like it wants to control my steering and if I slow down or accelerate it goes away but it is not good..
    Thank you for responding....

It does it if I apply brakes and it does it if I do not.... it seems going downhill and turning right or left into a curve it happens.... if I slow down it does not happen so it seems to be if I happen to be going faster however I am not a very fast driver....

Tires squeal when their adhesion limits are exceeded. These limits are reached sooner when travelling downhill and turning. On a similar note, ABS activates when wheel speed sensors reach a threshold telling the ABS module to rapidly pump and release the wheel it believes is locking up.

Slowing down through said downhill curve should alleviate your tire squeal and ABS activation issues.
