Hey guys, just wanted to see everyone's opinions on front bumps stops.

For those that have tried either (or even both) which do you prefer and actually makes your ride quality better the SumoSprings (SuperSprings) or Durobumps front bump stops?

I have had the SumoSprings, Front and Rear, on my 2019 OR for about six months. Absolutely love them. I have never had Durobumps so I cannot say for certain they are better or worse. But do love these and would recommend.

I have the DuroBumps on my very heavy truck, they're excellent. It used to feel like my frame was snapping when I hit the stock bump stops like it seriously felt not just bad but wrong like things were getting damaged.

I can bottom out without even realizing it now.

I have the SumoSprings front and back on my 2021 TRD ORLB. No issues hear. I did have to cut down the screws for the front to get them installed without the danger of cross threading.

I have Wheelers superbumps - they're about the same as the Duro's. The sumo's are more of a helper spring than a bump stop and designed more for overloaded vehicles and constant payloads. Someone described the superbumps as feeling like squishy boobs when you hit them and I agree completely. Love them, so supple - don't even know you're hitting them.

From what I've read, duro/supers are perfect up front for almost any application with the sumos being better in the rear if your bed is constantly weighed down and flexing the springs (always carrying lots of weight) - otherwise they're harsher than other options. Wheelers/duros are softer and more comfortable if you use them as a bump stop vs constantly riding on the bump stops.

My vote is for wheelers/duros unless you weigh a shitton and need the sumo's helper spring.

No weight up front yet, but I do have very stiff springs (742lb spring rate) so I was thinking the supers because they look like they soak up a little more since they are constantly touching the lower control arm rather than durobumps but for almost double the price.

Damn that is a lot of spring for no extra weight lol. That was my thing though. I didn't see the Duro's being that much better than the supers to reflect the price. My supers are almost touching up front at ride height IIRC but they're smoooooth. 10000% nicer than stock.

Good deal. If you're planning on supers and do rears as well with a u-bolt flip grab the Archive Garage kit, much beefier hardware than what Wheelers includes with theirs.

Question: I run 60% dirt roads washboards etc. 40% pavement. I know the bone/soul compression people speak of. Been looking at the sumo for that odd unavoidable compression running crappy VT dirt roads on a daily basis.

Drive a 2019 Sr Sx MGM if that adds relevancy. Heavy loads once a montn crappy roads. Plan to upgrade suspension once I figure things out. Cry once. Lol. Not a dentist.

I often drive washboard roads. I went ahead and ordered the wheelers super bumps and they arrive Sunday so I'll put them on next week and update you how they feel on those roads

Got the super bumps put on today, super easy to install just make sure you have a large pipe wrench (I have a 14" and it did the trick) to get off those stock bump stops.

Unlike the SumoSprings, these aren't in contact with the lower control arm with the truck sitting (I have a 2" lift in the front) so I'm not sure of any dampening but I'm headed out to the part of town with the washboard roads this weekend and I'll keep you all posted

I’m about to get a Toytec lift and will definitely be adding the Duros to the front and rear.

Just wanted to keep my word and keep you updated on my thoughts with the Wheelers SuperBumps on washboard roads.

The bump stops aren't in contact with the lower control arm as I have about 2" of lift in the front, BUT they are close enough to hit on a lot of smaller bumps. Over the washboard roads the performance was insanely better even with my super stiff springs. I think if you have a softer spring/shock you'll notice a lot more of a performance increase because of the articulation but I am super impressed. Although I could still tell that I was on a washboard road, most of the harsh bottoming out is completely gone and it just feels great even on paved roads.

I can't vouch for SumoSprings but the super bumps (at half the price) work great and I'm super happy with my purchase.

Huge shoutout to @drizzoh for convincing me to buy the SuperBumps
