Hey there! anyone have any ideas for decent front bumper upgrades? I was thinking something solid and low profile, preferably with an inlaid light bar and not crazy heavy (wasnt planning on a winch but a mounting spot for later on would be cool).

I bent my stock one a bit, and am on the lookout for some replacement bumper to frame mounts for now, but want to start getting ideas of a clean aftermarket replacement

Anything you can draw up can be built.

You must have some idea of what style you like .

Pickup trucks are already very 'front heavy', which reduces traction at the rear wheels.
Many aftermarket bumpers are stout, and very heavy, which would make this worse,
and the primary reason I still have a stock front bumper.

I think the tube-style bumpers would be the lightest option, but I personally don't care for the look.

As the above said, I like lightweight, maybe something with a recess for a light bar and tow hooks, but nothing to crazy. I don't wheel enough for a cool hoop only mallcrawl

As others said, an aftermarket front bumper will likely add a lot of weight, even if you go with a more expensive aluminum plate bumper, it's likely to be heavier than stock. You might do pretty well with a pretty simple design similar to the cbi (linked above), but they are steel = heavy. A custom job or aluminum is going to run 800-1000.

I'm with you on the looks of a tube bumper, but they are generally lighter and cheaper.

To counter the added weight of a heavy plate bumper, you could get a rear bumper with a swing away spare tire carrier...
