    Those little red deals are part of the problem. They're not very secure. I ended up just using a bolt and nut I had hanging around and never had an issue again.

    So that’s what it is
    Because I remember seeing the red piece missing on one side but the slips themselves didn’t seem very messed up.
    Looks like I might’ve ordered these for nothing then lol but 20 bucks for a spare isn’t bad

    Mine would pop out every time I pulled the bumper no matter how gentle I was.

    I would not use non-Toyota parts here. Tried it with some clips. They fit loose and some broke just pushing parts back together.

    The plain fact is that these bumper clips can be finicky even using OE parts.
