Wondering if anyone makes front bumper pads for the 3rd Gen. I was looking for some sort of hard rubber pads to install on both sides of the license plate. It would serve two purposes:

    1. Protect the license plate bracket
    2. Help me judge the front of the truck when parking, for example
See the arrows for location in the attached pic.

So you want to but bumper pads on like the older Porsche and Lamborghini cars had? Like these?

There are likely millions of them in US landfills, all ripped off sports cars in the 70/80's due to their terrible aesthetics. Free for the pickin :)

First day I brought my truck to work and I let another guy with a taco drive it. He pulls back in the spot and noses mine ever so slightly into the front of another pickup. It had one of those license plates mounted with the 3/8" hex screw and it totally indented/marred my bumper cover. Glad to get the first scratch out of the way /s.

Ultimately it got fixed when I mangled the front in a fender bender.

On the original issue, this truck could really use a front camera. I have a hard time judging where the end of its big nose is so I am always end up backing in to be safe.

I find looking out the windshield gives me a pretty good idea as to where the front end is.
