Thanks for the update, but you should have included a before and after pic! I would also like to see a pic of this "gap" you are talking about. I am curious about that. And I am also surprised you had problems putting the grill back in. Heck, I've had mine off so many times I lost count and it just went right back in every time. Anyway, thanks for the update!

Huh. My OEM part isn’t perfect, but it’s a lot tighter than that. I can see why you’re disappointed with the fit. I’m sure you double checked to make sure all of the clips are in. Sorry that didn’t fit better.

Thanks for posting the pics. I didn't know what color your truck was, but since it is a dark color, I don't guess you noticed much difference in the before and after pics. For me, it was quite noticeable when I changed out my OEM front center bumper [valance] as it was Quicksand color, and now it is black. I don't understand though, about that gap. I just feel sure there is something that could have been done before you put it all back together. It isn't noticeable in the pics from directly in front, only if you are above it and looking for it though. But I do get it, it would bug me too, just knowing it was there! But in any case, thanks for the update and pics!

I may take another crack at it in a week or two, but I thought I had all of the tabs in, etc. Also my understanding is that with that clip in, it shouldn't be having a gap like that.

I would think that in 6 years, that grill had never been off. It will go better next time.

I had a 2003 Audi TT that I did a lot of work on, and had that bumper cover off about a half dozen times. The first time was a real sweat-fest, but it was old had by number three....
