I've been trying to find anyone who offers a front bumper with a receiver so I can move a tray-mounted winch to the front or back of the truck as needed, but I haven't had any luck. I can't weld or fabricate something myself, so that's not really an option. Is there one out there? Or does anyone know of a front bumper that would be a good candidate to have modified?

I know there are the hidden front receivers made 4xInnovations, but that's not really what I'm looking for. And the obvious problem with installing a front receiver from Curt or Drawtite is that it's too low.

I've found the Curt #31075 that's made for the 3rd gen..
No cutting or removing anything..I just purchased a Traveller 9,000 lb and a mount (the mount has a 2" tgat fits perfectly in the Tacoma hitch receiver) at Tractor Supply...

Thinking about getting the #31075 myself ..I've watched youtube videos ..it takes about 30 minutes to install ..really easy.

The curt hangs down in front which messes with your aproach angle in front if you offroad.

If your aftermarket bumper has a winch mount tray - and no winch .......... seems like a box hitch welded to a mounting plate drilled to match the tray......? The prefabbed box hitch tube is easy to find and the winch mount hole pattern is right there in plain sight. It should be easy enough to find a shop to do this. The box will end up at the right elevation, right where the winch fairlead would ordinarily go.

I did and I've seen several other posts on it around here. To avoid derailing this thread I'd say pm me if you have any questions. I'm happy to share pics or my experience.
