An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
You asked so here it is. Both bumpers are to big and look way out of place on the truck. My opinion is to get something that tucks up close to the truck. Those things remind me of Bubba from Forest Gump.

For 'no-cut', metaltech, expedition one, and even the C4 look (and work) 10x better than any fab fours option. Cutting gives you a lot more options.

winch is more useful probably but I find both pretty ugly.

Just wondering does any of these winch bumpers work with the airbags?
ARB is the only one I know of that also works with the airbags

The airbags have nothing to do with the bumper. They are inertial units that only depend on deceleration/changes in momentum. All of the bumpers work with them.

+1. Most companies don't talk about airbags so they don't get into legal issues

I'm thinking options 1 and 2 are self portraits by either Cyrano De Bergerac or Jay Leno.

Absolutely hideous, but that's just MHO.

I understand I may be being closed minded in that evaluation, but in this case I can afford to be closed minded because I'm right :broccoli:

It simply does not follow the lines of the vehicle properly and makes it look like the truck is wearing a CPAP mask.

Or maybe auditioning for the part of Hannibal Lecter in the next Silence of The Lambs movie.

I really like the clean lines of the C4 bumper, but it does require cutting

Aren't there usually pressure sensors as well.
In all their advertisemrnt arb mention how they have parts in the bumper designed to work with current safety standards and air bags.

And thats also why ARB don't have any sort of points to put a shackle on, I've seen in their ads they say you can't do a snatch strap recovery from them because of the airbags. They say use proper recovery points.

ya probably because they won't necessarily meet airbag standards.

Unless with newer vehicles its a g sensor but I know with older cars it had a specific sensor in the bumper that set it off. Thats why you can go up to a dodge neon and hit the bumper right under the head lights and set the airbags off.
    Regardless from ARB website

"With an air bag equipped 4x4 it is essential that the vehicle's crush rate and air bag triggering is not altered when a bull bar is installed. To ensure compatibility, ARB assesses each vehicle's frontal crush characteristics and replicates the crush rate into the design of each air bag compatible bull bar and its mounting system. This method enables engineers to achieve maximum possible vehicle and passenger protection without affecting the crash pulse. ARB has invested heavily in vehicle crash barrier tests to validate the performance and compliance of its air bag compatible bull bars, and as a consequence, our bars offer a far greater level of protection than most standard brush guards and grille guards. "

I mean obviously ARB will boast about themselves but still it seems kind of odd no one mentions it. Plus I know ARB mentions you cant do a snatch recovery from their bumpers because of the airbag sensors.

LOL, your descriptions of the Fab Fours bumper has me rolling! "CPAP mask" haha! Thanks for tagging us as a good option for a replacement bumper! The photo you tagged is of our Lo-Pro winch bumper. Its designed as a lighter weight version that provides a place to install a winch and offers some hefty tow points, along with some solid protection for the center of the front of the vehicle.

If anyone is looking for a direct replacement that requires no cutting (except trimming off the front end of the fender flare), then check out our front Overland Series bumper. It fits nice and tight for high clearance and a great approach angle, plus its easy to install!

Here is a good pic displaying the benefits of a really tight fitting bumper with a great approach angle!

Its because ARB bumper mounts are designed to crush/collapse, so any tugging on them would not be good. Nothing to do with airbag sensors.

I have option one with a rugged ridge 10,500 lb. winch
It is heavy. Very. Plan on upgrading your front suspension. Factory coils will not handle it.

I can vouch for C4 the are excellently made and exceptionally sturdy. I feel confident enough to drive through a house with mine. It is true armour for any one looking for some protection. 20160827_174430.jpg

Ok, you're out towards the coast. I'm not sure who all is down that way as far as shops go. I know of some here in Western NC, but that would be quite the drive for you, and I'm sure there are some out your way!
