    Hey guys,

I just did a video on adding a front camera and added the harness to allow me to use the front and rear camera anytime with a push of a button. So, of course, I want to share this with you guys so if you guys are interested in doing this mod, consider checking out the video.

I am using the full kit from AnytimeBackupCamera.com ($100) with a $40 camera that I got on Amazon. There are a few options when it comes to the camera and I have the options listed below the YouTube video description.

I did this mod because I go off road a lot with just the wife and dogs, so I do NOT have a good spotter when I go with just them. Some parts can be pretty worrisome as I can't see in front of me when I am angled up, so having a front camera definitely helps out a lot. Also, I sometimes use it in tight parking spots and in my garage when I have a lot of stuff in front of me.

I was told that I could use the power from the back of the radio to power the camera as well but I didn't know that when making the video, so if you'd like to do it that way, more power to you. If you guys like the video, consider subscribing as I make weekly videos.

This video is very helpful. Thanks.

I have an issue hopefully someone can help with. Is there a way to wire this up so that you only have a front camera switch?

I haven’t been able to find a thread by anyone who only installed a front camera switch. I’ve gotten to the point where the harness is installed and the camera works, but the front camera switch only works if I put it in reverse. So without the switch pressed it shows the regular backup camera, then if I push the switch while in reverse it shows the front. The switch won’t override the screen if I’m in drive or park though.

I’m assuming it has something to do with the orange wire from the kit that I didn’t hook up. I’m just not sure. My switch is from aironboard, and has a black, green, red, and blue wire. I wanted one that fit in the tall blank I had on the left side under the cubby (only empty switch I had).

Hello! I just installed my anytime front and rear camera. The camera and switch work great. However, my check engine light and trac off light are on. Any idea what I might have did wrong?
