I bought the anytime camera kit. I couldn't be bothered to read that it doesn't come with the front camera . I read around on the forum but didn't find an exact consensus. I am more worried about quality than money. I also know nothing about how these cameras work/connect. Can you buy any automotive camera? Are they kind of universal on wiring and plugs?

I bought the anytime camera brand kit. But I picked the wrong kit, I see that there is a kit that comes with a camera, but I didn't see it when I ordered. I read a few places and saw some YouTube videos where people had ordered other cameras to compliment this kit but none of them named what camera!

I just installed this kit with the premium natika camera. It looks a little clearer than the stock rear camera, better contrast. But I don't think you can really get much better resolution without upgrading the head unit itself. Not sure what system you have but mine is whatever base unit was in the 2017 SR utility trim.

Depending on the grille you are running, this might be a slick clean camera install. https://oembackupcam.com/product/front-view-logo-camera-for-toyota/

    Work in progress...
I just installed the camera on that grill. I had to use the die grinder and my imagination to get the camera flush.

I see your post now. It must have posted while I was typing! I've got the TRD OR with the touchscreen. I think I may get the aftermarket head unit that fits in the factory spot perfectly but is more advanced (the name of it escapes me atm) eventually. Alright. That is the one I will go with! Thanks for the info guys!

I don't use my unit for anything other than listening to music and the front and rear camera so stock works for me. I don't do real off roading being a light 2wd but the front camera comes in hand at work when I'm going up and down furrows, curbs, and ruts. Doesn't hurt in parking lots either pulling into short parking spots.

I'm hoping the kids use that feature when they drive it! I mostly just wanted the anytime rear to be able to keep an eye on trailers and straps without stopping. The front camera is something I'm not sure I'll use but the technology is there, easily installed and not expensive. Worth it!

That's a good use of the anytime rear for sure! I use both parking in the driveway to make sure my ass isn't in the sidewalk but my nose isn't blocking access to the garbage cans lol. But it really does help me make those dips and rises at work when the dozer man forgets to roll the edges.

Yea man... I'm working a water line project and it is like the absolute worst construction companies on the planet. I'm used to gas and oil... I had scratches all over the bottom of that factory bumper. Just bolted on the new ARB bumper yesterday! No more dragging for me!

I'm a pipe layer for a decent sized company in Florida. Someone has to make sure the shit rolls down hill lol

This is 108" to 123" steel pipe, pretty cool stuff to see.
