Nope. Its a safety feature with no known workarounds that I have seen.

If that’s the case, someone should be able to make the head unit think the truck is in 4 wheel drive. I have a 17 so doesn’t apply to mine.

I have just gotten used to it at this point. I don't rely on the camera much but it is helpful if i know kids are outside playing and to make sure they are not infront or around the truck while i am in it.

yeah i just hit the button the other day which turns it on under 8mph... the cameras on these are potato, but i guess it's useful.

i saw others mentioning the backup cameras on trucks that ONLY have the backup camera actually have good quality, it's just the 360 cam trucks look crappy.

this is the same for rubicons.... my wife's JL has a really good backup cam. there were all these complaints on the forums on the backup cam quality and half of us had no idea why because ours looked great. turns out the ones complaining all had front cams as well. the rear cams all had the same part numbers so it wasn't due to a different sensor.

turned out to be something about the bandwidth available or a limit due to processing power of the HU. it could either handle one HD stream from the rear or two SD streams. i'm sure its similar here.

The Camera "View" button on the left side of the dashboard towards behind the steering wheel where your traction control is. Once you click it, it shows front and 360 camera, you can click on auto so when you slow down to 6mph, it automatically shows up and if you press the button again, it shows only side camera almost like blind spot cameras

I'm all about safety but I'm sorry, it does not make sense. I paid $47,000 dollars for my Tacoma and the front camera is useless because of Toyota's reckless sense of "safety" . How safe is it to be looking at a camera, squinting, taking your eyes off the road to look beyond this "patch" of darkness! We wanted a front camera so we could park easier since the front end is long and drivers are short, this patch makes it useless for parking. No other manufacturer's front camera does this! I'm not buying the explanation that it's there because objects are difficult to perceive correctly ... what's next .. putting a patch over the side mirrors because objects are difficult to perceive correctly! If it is a "safety" feature then why doesn't the owner's manual explain it that way, instead there's no mention of it. Why isn't it explained to sales people when they are ask about it? I've tryied several dealerships in my area and none know the reason for the patch. Service techs don't now either. I tolerate Toyota's idea that killing the engine when the door is open after a remote start is a "safety" issue (ridiculous) but this camera thing will definitely send me off to a different brand when it's time to buy again.

I have a 2023 TRD pro Taco. Is there an aftermarket product that I could use to replace the cameras to lose the shadowing?

hunched over and avoiding the gunfire, while activating your rear oil slick, smoke shield, and front heat seeking missles. obviously.

I have been looking all over for the smoke screen switch. Maybe it's in the Toyota app.

it's part of the 'ultra safety and security' package. most just come with the standard 'safety and security' package.

No smoke screen switch, but it does come with one for the squid launcher.
