    Hi All,

While driving home today I heard and felt a loud "CLUNK" in the front end. Once I got home I found that my front drivers coil spring had completely snapped, as you can see in the picture below.

Needless to say I need to find a replacement. Does anyone have a recommendation on a specific coil (not the full assembly) to replace these with? I say not the full assembly because I JUST replaced the Bilstein shocks this year, so I'd rather avoid that extra cost.

    Some background on the truck:
2011 4x4 TRD Pro Access Cab
Springs are Toytec/Eibach 112-620 (About 1.5 inches of lift)
    Shocks are Bilstein 5100's

I'd like to keep 1-2 inches of lift in the front end, but I can accomplish that either with the springs or by adjusting the Bilsteins.

Also, has anyone else experienced this? The truck only has about 68K miles, so I wouldn't expect these to fail so soon. I don't beat on the truck either, just VERY light off road travel.

Thank you in advance for your help!

OME 884 coils would get you about 2.25" of lift. If you want less and want to remain around 1"-1.5" get OME 883

Looks like its corrosion, not wear. I would just order the same spring and maybe spray it was some anti-rust wax and make sure to wash more often.

Thanks all. I went with the OME 883s based on your recommendations.

Muddinfun, I definitely plan to reach out to Eibach, because I wouldn't expect that amount of rust to cause a failure like that.

I’m surprised with an EIBACH/TOYTEC coil, did you buy them used? If you bought them new, what’s the mileage on them?

I actually bought the truck used, with them already installed, with around 57K miles on the truck. I put another 10K miles on before this one failed.

So for all I know the previous owner beat these up pretty good, but it still seems like an early failure.

Looks like fatigue to me. I would call them.
