Hey all, first post so slide in gently haha. Anyways I'm looking at this 96' sr5 v6 4wd and I believe it has bilstein 5100 suspension? Not totally sure if that is specific enough as after a quick reading of some threads on here there can be co-mingling of brands when talking about suspension components. I'm somewhat familiar with suspension coilovers, struts, and shocks as I've had a few sports cars but usually no leaf springs are involved so pretty ignorant on the rear suspension aspect. So from just the "5100" description I'm not sure if they are describing the strut, spring or taken together as a whole.

Regardless, the truck that I'm looking at has a slight rake and I'm not a huge fan of this look. I am by no means in squat camp but do like the front (wheel well) to be about 0.5" higher that the rear. The current situation is kind of the opposite. I'm not certain but I believe the current suspension is supposed to be a 3" lift or it maybe 2.5" or 2" it is hard to tell with no comparison.

So that all being said I'm looking to get the front up higher as well as improve performance on and off road. I'm not really concerned too much with price but want to keep it reasonable. From other threads kings, fox and icons are mentioned a lot and I've checked these brands out for the first gen but they don't seem to give height range. The ones I've seen say 2.5" but I think they are describing the diameter or circumference of the coilovers not so much the height range. Can anyone give me some suggestions on good coilovers in the 3.5" to 4" range?

in addition I'm not totally sure if this degree of rise will need supporting mods. Ive read about the LT Vs MT and LCA and UCA, etc., etc.. not really looking for a long travel but wouldn't be opposed to a mid travel set up (I think that means beefier UCAs?) but also want to know if they need supporting mods besides the UCAs. Thanks!
