    anyone know of something to replace the two or one rubber drink holders that are in the front center console? Don't like what is there...they come up to easily with certain drinks...pita to me.

    Pulled them out and put velcro on the bottom of both. Haven't came out since no matter what kind of container I put in them.. Cheap easy fix found on here.

    Some stick on chrome from pep boys
    I traded my double rubber cupholder inserts for an older year model version like Brian linked in the buy/sell/trade forum section here on Tacoma World.

    You might find someone else here that is willing to do the same.

    Yes, it is plug and play. It fits perfectly in center of the cavity that is left when you remove the rubber cupholder inserts. If you remove the rubber cupholder insert you will notice 3 raised plastic "fins" on both the front and back side of the cavity. Those "fins" line up with grooves on this older style cupholder and keep it in place.

    Just bringing this up to express my opinion:

    These cup holders suck.

    Better than the cup holders in my Outback, but still suck.

    Hey guys do any of you guys know the part number for the original cup holder part. I cracked mine pretty badly putting my yeti in it.

    55604-04010 for the early plastic swinging lever type. Lot's of them on ebay for about $20.

    Oooooooh, that would be the whole shifter cover piece. Don't know what it's actually called. I thought you meant the black plastic bat wing thing that goes in the front cup holders.
