I figured I would throw this past all you gurus on here and see what you all thought about this:
This weekend my buddy took his 2008 Taco in because even in 2Hi the front end would bind when you turned the wheel all the way in either direction. Needless to say this was something that he was really worried about and took it into the dealership. They told him that his entire front differential needed to be replaced. It is under warranty still and he won't have to pay anything but they haven't told him what actually happened to it yet. What do you think could cause that sort of damage?

Ask him was the 4wd light on the dash on or blinking? Maybe the front A.D.D. was engaged when it wasnt supposed to be and it was driven on the highway, causing diff breakage. I know the 8" front diffs in the 05+ tacos are very strong. Interesting to see what the dealer says.
