front diff breather hose blew off

    Yeah no weird alarms or warning lights came on made it 400 miles and temp never got over 95°F

    The how I asked was for how he was able to change the diff tube at the inlet. I had a real hard time getting to it without removing the add.

    I go over the front temp temp sensor here when I installed the front diff after the re-gear/lockers.

    No one asked, did the diff get submerged in water while the tube was off? I'd be more concerned about water getting in than oil leaking out.

    Good question, and one I didn't have an answer for even though I've studied the manual fairly well. (I mean, it's 700 pages not including the 300 page supplement to explain the radio operation, by contrast my '67 GTO's manual is 28 pages.) Anyway it's in there but I had to dig a little to find it. There's no dedicated warning light just the "master warning light" but the center display will show a message indicating "Differential Oil Temp High".
