Front diff drain plug torque - is it 48 or 29?

    I got mine from Bell Lexus of North Scottsdale. Has free ground shipping up to $100 and you can use coupons and get filters, drain plug washers... etc.

    Well, the hex bolt came out fine, no problems. I did replace it with a replacement I bought on Amazon. I'm a little worried about it though. I was able to torque it to 48 just fine with an OEM copper washer replacement, but it's not as long as the hex bolt. Anyone see a problem with this?

    I kept the hex bolt as an emergency spare - I could always put it back on my next front diff change.

    They are so handy when doing your diff and transfer case oil changes that I keep some of my used oil squeeze bags and refill them with new oil from a less expensive bulk oil box.
