front diff locker or rear

    If you were going to buy an air locker, would you buy a front or rear locker. keep in mind in this hypothetical question, you would also have a open rear diff.

    please give reasoning why you have made your decision.

    Rear.

    Reasons.
    Better traction in most situations
    Locker up front is hard on components
    Locker up front is hard to steer
    More 2wd traction
    Donuts to impress ladies

    Both function the same but the airlocker needs on board air but Its stronger that the factory elocker. Dont think theres an elocker for the 8.4 diff.

    and just so i understand this further, 1995-2004 tacoma with open diff have a 8.4 diff?

    6 luggers yes.
