How frequently are folks doing the passenger side ECGS solution? It doesn't seem like this creates as many issues. I'm looking at doing my needle bearing, replacing the CV axle, and the hub/bearing assembly. I'm pretty sure it is the bearing that is giving me the humming at 20-40mph as it does not go away with 4wd, but the CV is needing replacement. My truck has 2.5" of lift so I guess it makes sense to do the needle bearing elimination.

Seems to be more common for 2nd and 3rd gens but that may just be because people with newer trucks have a lower tolerance for vibrations and such.

If you're going to be replacing the needle bearing anyway I would 100% do the ECGS bushing in it's place

I'm sold on the needle bearing elimination. ECGS has a passenger side solution as well (which doesn't get talked about as much on this forum) - did you do that one when doing the driver's side needle bearing elimination?

I haven't done either yet but plan on the driver's side one eventually.

    Well I finished this project.

The needle bearing had some wear and metal shavings. I just posted about this in the second gen forum.

    Everything is better.

I did not replace the passenger side bearing. I bought it, but returned it as it looked like it would be unnecessary.
