I've got two different front diffs, one from an auto 4x4 and one from a Manual 4x4. Only marking I can find is a white sticker. One diff reads "R86" and the other diff reads "R36".

Any other identifiers im missing to check gear ratio on these? Trying to match one of these up with a rear diff I pulled off the manual 4x4. Ideally without opening them up and counting gear teeth.

Random stuff. Oh! and converted to non ADD 4x4.
Make a marking and spin them to get the gear ratio.

I just went through this with a front diff. A guy sold me a 4.56 diff, but it turned out to be a 4.10. There isn't any ID or marking outside that shows what the ratio is. You need to mark the output shaft and turn the input and count rotations. To really make sure, crack the case and count the teeth. In my case, I had 41 teeth on the ring gear and 10 on the pinion.

The R86 and R36 I'm guessing is the extension tube, not the actual diff.
