Hey does anybody know what Toyota models and gens have front diff interchangeability? 1st gen taco, 3rd 4runner, 1st gen Sequoia, T100, 1st Tundra? Are they the same or diffs different, besides gear ratios, I'm looking for a 4.10. I know the Taco rears are different carriers. Thanks

T100 are low opinion so it won’t work, others will be fine

The passenger-side extension tube varies. You can swap it if you have a donor, but easiest to get a diff with the right tube from the start if possible.

There are three types: Straight tube (used in manual-locking hub trucks), and vacuum-actuated or electronic-actuated ADD. I don't know the exact year breakdowns, but older ADD trucks used vacuum actuators and newer ones used electronic.

They should technically be the same except the T100. The T100 isn't a clamshell case like the rest of them. The real difference in the clamshells would be the tower, whether it's locking hubs, or ADD vacuum or electronically actuated

Thanks for the info, I got a 3.93 front with a vac tube but i want to do manual hubs with a 4.10. I think I found a 4.10 off a 02 sequoia but with electric actuator, I think I can swap the actuators.

Keep in mind, you can swap the towers around. They have the same bolt pattern on the 8.0 IFS clamshells, so you don't have to necessarily get a solid tower.
