Front doorlocks not actually staying LOCKED?

    Mines does that too...and if a door is open when i start the truck it doesnt lock by itself..something to do with the alarm

    Well now that you mention it, probably most of the cars I remember this from were indeed Fords.

    Another item I thought was universal, but might have just been a Ford thing was the inside dome light switches. I was surprised when an older gentleman I know could not figure out how to turn the dome light off in a Ford 500 recently. He had to disconnect the battery until he could get help the next day.

    The instrument panel light dimmer switch was turned all the way up till it clicked which is how I remember operating most Ford dome lights.

    And the headlights turn off if you've left em on once you open the door!

    Yes OP its normal...

    If you're inside and you lock the doors wither either the key fob or from the door switch and then open the door with the inside door handle they're going to unlock. It's a safety feature.
