If you've got the cash for it, nows the time to step up to HD leafsprings. Not worth replacing them with OEM in my opinion.

If you think the CV is busted, get an autozone replacement for cheap, replace the one that's in there, then rebuild it for a trail spare. Or swap it back in at a later date.

Edit: which leaf is busted? Probably not a big deal to drive it with no weight in the back of it's not the main leaf.

got the pics. I like your idea of rebuilding the current one. How hard are these to swap? I imagine the leafs are pretty easy with the right equipment.

I think the HD leafs I can justify financially. Any recommendations on which to get?

The CV's aren't too tough to swap out, depends on if anything is broken in there. Pretty odd that the shaft would back out of the hub like that, leads me to think that maybe it snapped at the spline. Make sure it's not flopping around all over the place while you're driving. Also, with the ADD hubs, the torque on the outer axle nut holds the wheel bearing and seal in the hub - I'm not sure if it's the same way with the manual hub, but you definitely don't want to be driving an ADD rig without that shaft holding the hub together. That might be a good candidate to have a mechanic swap it out for a cheapo replacement, and make sure nothing else is haywire in there before you drive across the state.

The leafsprings are super easy to swap, and you'll have the added benefit of getting rid of that block lift
A lot of people go with the OME Dakar leaf packs, I had them for a while but one thing I didn't like about them was that they don't center the wheel in the wheel well, I ended up using an axle relocation plate to move the axle back 1/2". They do ride pretty well, and can handle a fair amount of weight.
Wheeler's Offroad also has a 8 leaf pack that works pretty well, and they sell Deavers too - all nice setups, but a bit more expensive than the OME.

    1. Replace the cv axle
    2. Replace the spring before it rubs a hole in your tire you can see where its been making contact with the tire.

not sure how much help it would be but i live down here in Lewiston, and i work at the toyota dealer in the parts department. anyways i got a spare hub, a couple axles, and my old leaf springs, one of which has a broke leaf like yours that i drove on and wheeled for years. axles and hubs are easy to do if you wanna come down and have some help

If the CV is popping out of the hub, you probably snapped the birf stub shaft. If that's the case if might of taken out the manual hub inerds.

And you can technically drive around like that. An axle retaining nut holds the bearing together and not the CV like on ADD trucks. I personally wouldn't for long, you may end up contaminating the bearing.

I'd pop off the dial face and find out the reason the cv's backing out.

I was just about to call the Toyota dealer and get some part numbers. My trucks in the shop right now getting an inspection done so I'll see what they think. Assuming I need a new manual hub and cv id happily buy those off you. Do you have a shop?

So I have a revtek lift, is that considered a block lift in the back? Should I put in a lift spring or some heavy/medium duty? The local NAPA can get me medium duty ones that add 750 lbs for $349...

all my spares are just what i get from junk yards to keep the cost down, even at employee pricing the toyota stuff is crazy priced. no shop, but they really are easy to change out. i did an axle on the trail in moab in 20 minutes, so we could do it in my driveway or something

If you're looking for a solid mechanic there, I can vouch for Pacific Rim Automotive in Fremont, they know their Toyotas and Subarus like nobodies business.

if you're not replacing right away use a strong ZIP tie or few to keep that broken portion off the tire as @mlcc mentioned

The shop offered me a fair price and will warranty the axle so I just told them to fix it, but I really appreciate it.

I'll check the page out, I just don't wanna break any more stuff this season haha

Yeah that block definitely contributed to your leaf cracking, the distance between the axle and leaf pack creates a torque on the leafsprings and they fatigue much more quickly.
Any of those leaf packs I mentioned earlier will add about 2-3" of lift, no need for the block. I'm not sure about Napa springs, sometimes those just add weight capacity without additional height. They also might ride pretty stiff with an empty bed.

What are the thoughts on this spring setup? The company was really helpful and I have the All Pro rock sliders that are well made. This price is including shipping and tax
