Got my truck back from the shop on Tuesday. New steering rack, lbj's, CV,s, tie rods, passenger LCA and spindle...and camburg uca's and kings. I Had a ball joint failure a month ago. Driving to work on Wednesday morning I noticed a slight clunk sound whenever my driver side tire hit a bump. Even the small holes in the center line of the road would cause the clunk.
I crawled under the truck once I got to work and noticed the driver side tie rod looks as if it's rotated forwards. Whereas the passenger side sits level. The boot is an easy indicator of this.
Is this normal? Could this be causing the clunk and squirly feeling on road? I won't have access to my tools until Sunday when I get off shift. Also, only 5 lug nuts installed on my passenger side. Smh.

Grab the tie rod and you can rotate it. You'll see what I mean.

    Not likely causing your clunk

Copy. No away bar for me though.
I'm wondering, will the uniball make a clunk sound if its not lubed?

I had that clunk sound till I got a 2 front wheel bearings, a new rack & pinion and two new CV Axles. Then the clunk was gone. But now it's back intermittently whenever I drive over a dip like into a driveway or certain parking lots have little cemented path that help drain the water to the gutter set up in the middle of the parking lot. The only thing I can think of is the UCA's are cycling or it's the suspension altogether. But the clunk was way worse before I replaced those components. Now it only happens every once in awhile. But I keep my UCA bushings lubed and then I put that PTFE dry lubricant on the uni ball. It's hard to isolate the sound. I thought it could be the CV axles since mine were both ripped and after they were replaced the clunk was gone. I have 246,542 miles on my truck but the front end is brand new now. So good luck! It's just wierd the clunk came back after I replaced all that stuff even though it seemed to have taken care of it for awhile. I do have my sway bar still.

The lower ball joints will make this noise if they are worn out.
Also if the bolts to the lower ball joints are not torqued to the right amount it will clunk.
The bolts might have to be re torqued again and might have come loose
And I hope you used OEM ball joints, if not you will have problems

I used OEM ball joints, since I took my truck back to Toyota to have them do recall work on the LBJ's. What about the clunk @lonzorizo is experiencing? He just got a whole new front end correct with all new components. Same thing?

I had the same problem and took it back to Toyota as they replaced the ball joints
and the nuts were not up to spec. They re tighten them and the clunk went away.
Not saying this is the same problem but it was for me.
Or could be the brake pads loose in the calipers, check the springs clips,

squirly Feeling ? Did you get an alignment ? Would would have had too
    with all that work?

Sorry old post... But I just noticed your drivers side cv is missing the dust shield at your spindle hub. Hopefully you've noticed it by now...
