This sounds like something I'm experiencing. i have a '17 with around 15k miles on it, riding on stock a stock set up. noticed this probably about a year ago. its a nice clunk that i can feel through the floorboard and sounds like two golf clubs smacking each other. it happens when I'm going 15mph or less and the only time i can replicate it is through the speed bumps and dips of my community (every once in a while it will randomly happen when turning the wheel all the way over). brought it in to the dealer for service and mentioned it, of course, no dice. they say it all checks out and looks fine. next step is going on a ride along with a tech. I'm holding off and driving as normal to see if it starts to worsen. so far, it hasn't, just hurts my soul every time i hear/ feel it. ill follow this thread hoping someone finds something out before i have to go back.

This is why I'm diagnosing things myself, then bring them in for warranty repair. Could not duplicate is hot key on tech computers.

Definitely following this - I have the same clunk from time to time. No freaking clue as it seems random - backing, turning the wheels, other.

Idk if mine is similar. Only on initial acceleration and letting off the gas. Sounds like a motor mount or trans mount is loose, and something is rising and falling from the torque of the motor. Can feel it in the floorboard. Checked everything i could ( im a tech for a living) and nothing seems loose or out of place. 18 TRD OR completley stock (21k miles) minus bilstein 5160 in the back. Front shocks are oem.

That's exactly the noise! It sounds like more of a "ping", metal on metal loud "tap". Maybe they know something I don't as the district tech told them to replace the struts on mine under warranty. I'll let you know if the noise is gone after that happens.

Hey all so back in April the dealer said they were going to replace my front shocks but didn’t. Long story short, the finally did replace them on Thursday and the noise has finally went away! Here’s a shot of the parts they ordered that fixed it for anyone’s info.

I have a click would not call it a clunk. Here is how it happens. Parked then I back up and turn wheel full to the right back up. Then I place truck in drive and turn wheel to full left. Truck moves forward and after a few yards I hear a click not transmission related. Only time I hear this click. Note when I say full wheel turn I do not bottom out the wheel turn all the way. I try not to do that as I was told that this is bad for your power steering pump.

Lol I have this same issue, every day coming home I have to make a sharp turn into my driveway and as soon as I go over the storm gutter into my driveway there us a clunk. Did you ever figure out what the dealer did to fix it?

I had a clunking sound, almost like when you drive over a metal manhole cover....like a metallic clacking, almost everytime I went over a speedbump or into a driveway. They replaced the front shocks and it went away. So anyone who has any kind of clunking, try to get them to replace them!

Im experiencing exactly everything you are describing. Only happens on speed bumps.

I did have similar noise on my previous truck for about 7 years without any issues.

Would love to know whats making that noise.

Had my truck in for the 10,000 mile service, (only have 3400 on the clock) today. Service manager looked at my truck himself and told me it is the ABS system. He said when the speed reaches 3mph or so the system makes the pop or clunk as I call it. The system goes to sleep when the key is off then boots back up after you start the truck and after it reaches whatever speed, 3mph it will pop/clunk when you 1st drive off. I just never realized it done it pulling straight forward or backward until he showed me. He sounded like he knew what he was talking about so I'm fine with it.
