Can you expand on 'loose'? You're talking about the differential side and not the hubs/steering knuckle, right?

Yes the differential side I'm laying on my back under the truck I can push up or side to side on my CV axle where it goes into the differential housing and I have probably a 1/8 to a 1/4 inch of movement all the way around.

If they aren’t leaking gear oil out around the seal, and you don’t have any unusual vibrations, I’d leave it alone. Some play is normal. If it “bothers” you. You could install the bushing on the drivers side from ECGS. It will take some of the play out of it, but not all.

Again, if it’s not leaking. I’d leave it alone.
