front end noise

    my front end made an awful noise when I was turning and lost traction for a second or two. a light did flash on in dash but was unable to see which one it was. Any ideas?

    That's the traction control system. First new-er car?

    Traction control. The light was the indicator showing it was on. The noise was the ABS pump modulating the rear brakes.

    also when im in 4 wd hi in the snow and turning slightly it seems to bind up really bad, they tell me its normal. ive driven 4 wd trucks and never had it bind up like this one does

    Underworld Flex trifold, tinted, TRDPRO grill, TRDPRO shift knob, etc,etc
    Make sure your tires are no more than a couple lbs of pressure from each other and on each axle. Also make sure they are of the same brand/make and size on all axles.

    There should be no significant or noticeable binding on 4hi in slippery roadways, but it should be noticeable on dry pavement, ouch!
