So I've been messing around with lifts on my front end and currently have about 2.85" of lift. (A 2" spacer and a bilsteins set to .85) well last week I took it in to get aligned before making a long trip and it's pulling hard to the left now. I took it back the next day and they had a different tech realign it and he said the toe was out. Long story short it still pulls to the left but I didn't have time to go back before my trip so I sucked it up. I made it the 400 miles there with no problem towing my boat but on the way back it started making a clunking noise. Almost like my control arm or away bar bushings are bad that's the best example I can think of for the sound. But it's only at low speeds going straight or turning doesn't make a difference. I'm at a total loss because everythi g seems tight but the noise seems to be getting worse. Btw it's a prerunner so no diff/axle issues are possible. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it!

Also what would make the alignment go out soon as I drive it because the computer is saying it's in spec on the rack but then soon as I drive it it starts pulling and when I go back it's out? Maybe I should just take it to another shop? It sucks to lose my money on this alignment though if its the truck. I've leveled/lifted all my trucks and never had this many problems!

    Why.

Maybe the sway bar bushings went bad? I had a shop fuck mine up. Check to see if the skid is tightened all the way. Easy checks.

You need to put UCA's on it with that much lift. Needs more camber and caster dialed in

Totally forgot about UCAs. That might fix the alignment problem.

I had to max out my factory adjustment and then start adjusting with the light racing arms

Sounds to me like they didn't tighten the alignment eccentrics to spec, or they screwed them up somehow trying to get you the extra camber (which is why you need UCAs).

Classic symptom of eccentric issues is clunking & wandering out of spec.

I heard a spacer lift on top of a coil lift is bad news,Without upper control arms it will tear itself apart ! Not to mention you towed your boat adding more camber ,caster issue! Get rid of the spacer lift and get a good quality coil lift , Icon, King,Toytec:thumbsup::amen:

The clunking noise is a spacer lift issue, without upper control arms he will never get the alignment even close. Spacer lift on top of a coil lift BIG NO NO !! Any good off road shop will steer you clear of that idea! Why mess with your 35,000$ truck with inferior lift? :annoyed::facepalm::frusty:

Get rid of the spacer. Keep the 5100 Bilsteins. Or go with coil overs/OME setups/ etc.

Blocks and spacers are complete junk.
