Hey everyone. My Tacoma is fairly stock. I have changed shocks to Bilstein 5100 kept stock height. Changed lower ball joints. Tacoma is from 2019 and has 130k miles on it. Front end has a squeak that isn’t continuous but drives me nuts. Today I changed my front body mounts because that is what everyone says it is. Mine were ripped and torn apart but this didn’t fix the squeak. Tires are Toyo open country AT 3 but stock tire size. I changed shocks about 50k miles ago. The coil isolator on the driver side shock isn’t totally flat. Wondering if this could be the noise? -like I said noise is on driver side it sounds like.
If y’all have ideas please mention them. I need to figure this out before it drives me nuts lol.
Here’s a video. Let me know if it works:

Also, this is my first post sorry it is all over the place. Cheers

That sqeak was driving me nuts too! Damn!
Any of the other bushings look old? UCA, or swaybar?

I saw on YouTube another taco making a similar noise and it was the UCA. Will crawl under truck today or tomorrow and update

Yes I have all bolts in my skid plate. I just called Toyota and they think it is a bushing. The guy is leaning more towards the UCA. I covered the whole suspension in WD40 right behind the wheel and the squeak goes away for a few hours. Going to try sway bar bushings first because they are easier.

Now go and powerwash all that off, all of it. You masked the problem. After it's clean and dry apply a lube, WD40 really isn't, like Triflow to one specific joint, bushing, spring hat, etc at a time and drive, yep it is going to take a while. Write down where you applied the lube and once the noise goes away, you found the area that needs attention.

Did you grease all the hardware and torque them down? It is well known that stock lower coilover mounting bolts are not shouldered fully and will cause noises. Bent front disk brake splash shields can make some odd noises too.

Washed it all off and made the decision to bring it to the dealership. They said, I need to change the rest of the body mount bushings for 700$. I know why they call them the stealership now. I am now using a silicone lubricant on every part going one by one. No luck yet, but will keep yall updated. Thanks for the input. Cheers

Hmmmm, that doesn't sound right about the "rest of the body mounts".....

Yep, it will take a bit of time and when the noise goes away right after you sprayed "there", you got it!

Quick little update. I am basically between the UCA and the coil isolator that isnt flat on the driver side. I am bringing it in monday 7/10 to a different mechanic who I know. He will fix the spring and align it correctly with the coil isolator. If the squeak is still present, I'll keep yall posted. But I am pretty sure it is the spring contacting the top hat. When I spray lube on it, the squeak disappears, but at the end of the ride it is present again. (I drive 50 mile intervals, home to work)

Did you have the noise beforehand? This noise was here well before I replaced mine. I also used white lithium grease on both sides of both bushings. If you didn’t grease them, I have heard on the forums some people experience crazy squeaks.

    **update

The noise is finally gone. Brought it to a buddys dealership and he had decompressed the springs and realized they weren’t lined up correctly. Once he got them in the correct place, the noise was gone. I’m so glad it’s over. Even the service manager was like this noise is insane. Haha. Cheers thanks for all yalls help

Hello, question for you. I have a similar squeak that I noticed after taking up to the mountains for skiing. After the first ski trip, the squeak went away after about a week. After the second trip, it has remained for a couple months now. The dealership said everything looks pristine (bushings, no leaks, etc.) and that it may have to do with my CaliRaised steel skid plate. If I wanted to ask somebody such as the dealership to perform what you had done, what is it specifically I would ask? Trying to figure out how much it will cost to attempt this. The dealership I go to has a ~$200 fee to investigate an issue, if they don't find anything they cancel the fee, if they do find something, the fee goes towards the repair. Something to that effect.

Also, do you have any idea how the springs became misaligned?
