    quick question guys,
I'm contemplating buying a 2016 super white extended cab trd off road but when I took it for a test drive and when I went off road the passenger side front end was squeaking like crazy. I mean every time the shock moved it squeaked. The dealership tells me, any new truck is going to squeak when you first take it off road. It only has 8,400 miles on it and that's after my afternoon test drive of checking lockers, stability control and crawl modes. Other than that I absolutely love the truck. They say it needs to be broken in.
Any words of wisdom or even fair warnings would be much appreciated.
I currently own a 2009 single cab that I have had zero problems with but its time to upgrade.

    JZ

I’ve never heard of a brand new truck squeaking when rolling off the lot “needing to be broken in.” To me sounds like they’re just trying to push inventory. I would suggest spending a couple thousand more and get a brand new one. Although that one is still under warranty it would be a hassle to deal with potential issues. My .02.

2017... I get squeaking from the the right front tweeter area when its cold... Could've been the weather, so

    1. Either put up with it (cuz Toyota)
    2. Have them fix it before purchasing it (take it to a 3rd party to check it out) / roll the dice and purchase it then fix it yourself
    3. Opt for a brand spanking new truck instead (skip the 2018 taco, all the safety nannies are preventative)

First of all, Don't buy OPJ. (Other' people's junk)

If you must, have them check the Passenger side cab mounts.

Going from a wonderful reliable 2nd gen reg cab to a 3rd gen is an upgrade?

Those squeaks are trying to tell you something.

Ya, I would take the same salesman for a ride in another taco and see if it does it.
