Im considering a 2012-2015 front end swap on my 2010. Id like to use oem pre oem match painted parts so i need to find a wrecked truck. I know ill have to drive to get the parts.

I just really got in in my head i want a 2012-2015 front end.

Anybody know a good place to find the parts to swap in white up to say 4 hours from 35801 zip?

Im def able to do the swap so thats not a variable. I just dont want to deal with painting panels.

    A 2012 to 2015 front end isn't a 3rd Gen swap

It might not be a bad idea to start collecting the parts you need when they go on sale here. Many folks seem to swap out bumpers, lights, and grill depending on what they are doing. Too bad you arnt a red truck, I could of built you up pretty well as most of my front end has been changed out. You might have some difficulty finding a white sport hood though.

Oh and i just got these from a forum member. Mounting new AT tires tomorrow. Prob will make me want the more chiseled and refined 2012-2015 front end even more!

    If i was rich id have a 2012-2015 with a 2016-2017 interior.

One thing to keep in mind OP, your fenders I believe will be transferable between both set ups. I bet you could get some cool looking headlights, different grill, and then wait for a white bumper if you wanted something newish and different.

I bet you can get some good coin on your hood when you decide to do that swap, that thing would go really fast.

you need headlights grill bumper fenders and hood
finding everything factory color matched will not be easy if you plan on tackling this project quickly

keep an eye out of craigslist eBay and the many tacoma forums

    good luck on your project

am I the only 2012-2015 that thought about doing a 2005-2011 face drop?? I kinda like the older bumper better...

Honestly I wasn't really that crazy about the front of the 2005-2011 look, but it was the interior of those that kept me away. The facelift of the 2012-2015 was exactly what I needed to jump on board. That's just my preference though, Im sure people would be eager to swap out if you wanted.

id say that might be a one and only swap haha.

Yeah id def aquire all the parts first. I may just do what i was thinking originally and do the smoked tint to the fog lights and paint the lower center of bumper and leave well enough alone. Just depends on how easily the parts are available for a swap.

yea the interior was a big part of me going with a 2012

and at this point I will not be swapping now that I swapped bumpers already.

I don't know if you are shooting for the straight stock look, but you could get an aftermarket bumper to help with the transition. Lights come and go all the time, the grill doesn't come by that often, but those can be had for a decent price.

I agree. The 2gb front end and interior is a nice upgrade. Wife wanted 2012+. I wanted trd off-road. It was either spend $18k on a beatup 2007 trd or get the 2012 sr5 for $18500 in better condition. It was a no brainer. If i go crazy I'll just arb the rear.
