Has anyone had front end wobble like the front end is out of alignment or wheels need to be balanced. I just replaced my stock 245/16 with a 17 inch trd 265/70 bfgoodrich ko2 tire. I will bring it back in to see if brand new wheels need to be balanced. Thanks

A local shop installed the wheels, lugs are tight. I have 15 inch k0s on my 92 toy smooth as silk.
Anoyying vibration is it possible they didnt balance wheels correctly .I have bilsteen 5100 with old man springs in front with a
block in rear. The truck looks awesome with wheels, but with the shimmy in front is not cool.

Improperly balanced rubber, bad rubber, bad rim.

First priority would be taking it back to the shop and having them recheck their work. Ask if they had any issues mounting the rubber to the rim.

Where did you get the rims? are they aftermarkets? are they used/new?

Not sure why the strike through appeared, but ok.

i run the 17" TRD PRO 4Runner (SEMA) wheels and they have been cherry at all speeds. Could be the tires, could be that you need a few extra weights on the wheel to balance with your tires...not all tires are shaped perfectly

Ko2's seem to be nearly impossible to balance.
I had mine re balanced at least six times without much difference.
I dealt with it for 4 years and then changed them out for Goodyear Wrangler Ultraterrains.
    Way happier with the Wranglers.

Old man emu springs and 5100 shocks installed earlier in year with no problems, until I had the larger tires and wheels installed.
    Thanks

K02s are like many products, inconsistent. You are entering the lottery when you buy a set. A decent amount are impossible to perfectly balance. I went through two sets personally. First set was terrible and out of spec which BFG was willing to replace. Second set is in spec but still not perfect.

Thanks sir, that was the most reasonable theory, The truck looks like it should stout. Before with those puny 245/75 16" tires they would screatch around small corners. I was going to use the same wheels but found out the 17" tires were 50 dollars less, and the 17" wheels looked better.

Do you think when they were balancing , they knew that it wasnt balanced right. And its not the 4 runner 17 " trd wheel?

Did they balance with cones in the center bore? Have them do a Lug Centric balance. Balance with a device that mounts the wheel to the balancer via the stud holes. Then let us know.

    I'm a little confused...may be the way it's worded.
Is it or is it not a genuine TRD wheel?

Trd wheel from toyota yes. 17x7 wheel I believe it was for the 4runner.
when I drove out from tire shop it was obvious something was shimmering or wobbling, called the shop and said the tire is going to ride differently from stock tires. I have had multiple ko2 tires on my 92 toy with nothing close to this problem

They wanted to know if went up a size ,told them I went from a 16"245/70 to a !7" trd wheel. 265/17

Of coarse they said because I went up a size that is probably the problem. They only do road centric balancing. Thanks
