I’ve been hearing a womp sound from the front end of my 2nd gen Tacoma for a couple months now. Starts at about 30 mph. Gets faster with speed. Not super loud but definitely there. Pin pointed to the front side passenger I think.

When turning sharp passenger, it goes away (less weight on wheel) when turning sharp driver it gets a little louder)

Rotated my tires. Changed wheel bearing. No play in ball joints. Sounds like a tire issue honestly but the sound did not travel when rotating my tires.

    Anyone have advice/similar issues?

    Thanks!

Might have better luck posting in the 2nd gen forum.

I would put the spare on the left front and see if it goes away. Maybe it is the tread pattern that is making it universal?

Sounds like tires, or maybe really really really worn suspension sometimes you’ll see someone’s tires bouncing on the highway due to the suspension.

Just an update in case anyone has the the same issue…

Combination of bad tire wear and SPC upper control arms components not lasting very long. Lots of play in “x axis”
