right front wheel bearing? jack it up in the air spin wheel and try to wiggle wheel left right up down. wheel bearings are common on our trucks. you would be out of warranty
    unless you still have ecp

Sounds like symptoms of a bad wheel bearing to me.

The wheel bearings are fairly easy to replace. Even easier if you get the whole hub assembly from Bamatoy (no pressing bearings in or out).

Front bearing is shot. Most likely right one. Got mine from Bamatoy, super easy install. Hardest part was getting the tire off. Damn rim was rusted to the hub.after that it was about an hour, and that was my first time doing it.

i have a 2008 Tacoma prerunner, v6 standard transmission, with 101,000 miles. I had the exact same issue, loud noise from front end that seemed to get louder and louder over the past few months. The noise was loud starting at about 20 mph and got worse as I accelerated up to highway speed. The noise was worse when I began to decelerate. One day while driving on a windy state highway, I noticed that the noise stopped when I veered to the right. I consulted the forums and the symptoms I was having were a dead give away to the fact that my problem was a worn out wheel bearing. I took the truck into a certified Toyota mechanic in Ft. Worth Tx and they agreed. $600 and one new wheel bearing later, no more humming. I'm disappointed that even though I paid this truck off years ago, I seem to be making payments again to keep the thing running.
