im already attempting to see if I can get one coming back from KOH i have a buzz going through a couple vendors heads, the bird is spreading :p might mean more North American support :p

FYI my biggest issue with this was not going to have NA support

its always going to have a slight a delay as it needs to line up, the locker wont rotate when it clamps to ensure its on the grooves not the tooth

ALWAYS going to be mechanical delay, but that also why have the springs to keep the pressure on

Like spoon said youll have to move forward or back,

i think the factory elocker is due to the fact it has to go through a PLC, which runs through the command chain to ensure all the safety barriers are in place, trucks and cars arent all jsut relays and wires now, they have brains :D

Why do you care about fast lockup...? It takes like 2 seconds with a "slow" locker. Not exactly a huge deal. I care more about having a strong diff. That's why I'm putting in arbs tomorrow.

Check my build thread...got a painful list of parts to put in. Thanks dude! I'll let you fellas know how it goes.

My experience with ECGS has been awesome so far. Ordered last Tuesday, they shipped this last Tuesday, and were delivered to my place today. So quick! Speak with Steven at ECGS.

honestly im going the elock route for fear of blowing a seal because i sucked water into my compressor, loaded my line with moisture and blew the seals on my lockers

going with a grizzly auto locker in the rear, yes i still have my arb rear .......
and than would prefer just to try this out as an e-locker,

Eaton/harrop has a long standing name as well, i have yet to read a bad review regarding it, we just dont get the publicity from them as we have seen in the past is ARB for us ;)

when my builder says he will warranty my rear diff for life if i put a grizzly in im going to follow his wise words, he also races his jeep in KOH "the rental car 2503" with his grizzly locker, and his supplier is willing to back us on this project of an elocker, this is not about a "fast" its about not wanting a pre mature failure due to frozen water ;) seeing as last week was what -50ish with the windchill

Bulhas what i find funny is when i started this thread you were pro ARB. Use arb... And now here we are..lol how much is your source charging you for a locker from harrop.. chances are they are over charging you.

chances are I pay what he pays ;) which will be below retail ;)

I was Pro ARB until they pissed me off with their attitude towards my builder/friend, id much rather give his proven sponsor money, and keep the good times rolling, Ive also decided i just want an auto locker in the rear :p

also ill find out pricing once KOH is over

Auto locker would be cool but I like to play around here and there with it off. Plus a few of them like to get stuck on.

Hmmm the choices seem to be endless. I will wait until I get a review from either of you (ghost and bulhas) than I will go completely the other direction. Haha.
Seriously though I cant wait to see these in action.

Lol for the front I think when this works it will provide a second selectable

But on an ifs you'd be ridiculous to have anything but a selectable locker

my question is why a auto in the rear? that almost sounds like a bad idea... turn a corner it will lock, spin out on ice (it never happens in alberta :p) it will lock. try to do some shittys in a parking lot it will lock. in the front i under stand but in the rear i personally would make 100% selectable.. just my .02

have fun testing you lockers bra. in the end lockers are lockers. good to hear your install went well.

i dont fool around in my truck dude, not my thing, as along as you drive sensible youll survive in our winter roads, im very much a slow acceraltion dude, + add the skid assisnt in the rear it will make for some fun ;)

+ long truck is much better at controlling it than a short wheelbase, yes I have seen some Jeeps pull 180's just trying to turn left so on and so forth

but im not a lead foot in this truck by any means

Auto in the front is a terrible idea...

You're driving around on some ice in 4wd. The front locks. Hit dry pavement and turn=something's gotta give. Selectable is the way to go if you street drive your rig. Keep in mind though, a LOT of GM trucks have the G80 automatic locking rear differential. When there is 100rpm difference between the axle shafts, it locks. Not exactly a brilliant idea because people don't realize it has locked, and they grenade them without knowing. I definitely prefer selectable on a street truck. Also gives you the option of being fully open for a challenge :)
