I just came across this thread after months of emails with harrop. Its great to know I wasn't the only one wanting a elocker. The only difference is I will be wanting both front and rear but will start with rear first.. What year is your yruck ? I have a 13 sport auto! I've crossed referenced a lot already for the part number and would like to see if they match up

Nm on year I looked up through profile.. This is some of the info I got back from them, (The current model Hilux in a 3.73:1 front ratio is an A10994 ELocker. The rear is not ratio dependant as is an A9334 ELocker.)... Does this match up with what you have.. Minus the rear due to yours being OR..

The front diff on all 2nd gen Tacoma's is the same. The TRD offroad rear ends are all the same and all of the non TRD offroad rear ends are the same across all years.

The front info is right as for the rear I was not able to match up a elocker for the sport tacos, if you figure something out that I couldn't please post it would add to this thread. Also wayyyyyyyyyyyy at the start of this thread I posted good links on info, maybe check it out. Also arb part reference is also a good way to see what is the same and not as arb has the lockers out for helix and taco. Front diff is the exact same in taco as helix, fj, LC prado 120/150.

Just feed it a gentle throttle. haha. Although mine whined like that all the way to moab and through all of moab and all the way back before I fixed it. Sounds like yours is worse than mine though, well maybe.

    ECGS
HARROP / EATON A10994-0 TOYOTA 8” REVERSE CLAMSHELL INSTALL T8CS
USA APPLICATION: 2003 + 4RUNNER, 2005+ TACO, FJ CRUISER FRONT DIFFERENTIAL
***Be sure to select correct model number: Aftermarket T8CS 4.56 AND 4.88 ARE THICK CUT TO FIT 3.73 CARRIER

Step 1. Grind Fins inside case for magnet clearance approximately .300
    PICTURE CO HARROP
    image001_zps807ca7bd_467731a1a5db7d6bf68dd3f9ef1b13ba8a4ecfdb.jpg
Step 2. Install carrier bearings only, Not ring gear and test fit, you will find that the anti rotation tab binds on housing and will not let carrier bearing seat all the way. Orientation of tab is between fins at drain plug. If you bolt case half together you will likely damage the unit.
Step 3. Cut the magnet anti-rotation tang off at outer weld, shorten legs .065 or until you can install carrier by hand and it does not contact housing. Original tab pictured below.
    image002_zpsbc1bbf2f_f2e4649d297b767dc85243595726a7f96fa0d8d4.jpg
Step 4. Tig weld both legs on the inner side and tig weld a cross piece to brace the legs. Reinstall and insure that the tab can move .080 back and forth between case fins.
    image004_zps1af4aa61_0de52aa2a1453d4587c0ffb802e2d73ba8c1abb3.jpg
    image003_zpse30ad840_d67210069a7a968b68d1a408d1f1d2aefa215863.jpg
Step 5. Install ring gear. Remove pinion gear if not removed. Paint a safe zone line for wire clearance through pinion hole to judge for grommet hole. Also see above picture for hole placement. Hole size is ½ inch.
    image005_zps0692a515_08b30ecd18e464f3b2a494278a56515f78393208.jpg
Step 6. With pinion still removed, install carrier and grommet in hole insuring anti rotation tab is aligned in case fins. Bolt case half together and set wire length by viewing amount of wire pull. Wire should have enough slack so that the magnet can rotate freely without pulling on grommet or interfere with ring gear. Mark wire position on the outside of Grommet so on final assembly you know that wire placement internally is correct. We used Blue tape to mark correct location.
    image006_zpse6d90cf0_36f76540a2a6b45949569c096b2f8115c74243ad.jpg
Step 7. Tig weld bung with ½ inner diameter to outside of hole drilled. Do to the thin wall of the clamshell and the design of grommet more material needs to be added.
    image007_zps6963355a_cfd1402ff881792ae4b51e7f6f5af7c90223bef4.jpg
Step 8. Proceed to set pinion depth and backlash, Final install pinion and reinstall carrier Insuring anti rotation tab is aligned between fins in case. Coat outside of Grommet with RTV and set wire length.
Step 9. Seal case, install ADD stub shaft, ADD tube, and reinstall Differential.

Very interesting. Doesn't seem like too much more work on top of setting up the clamshell normally. I had to read an re-read it though.
