Not near as comparable price as an arb set up I'd say close to 5 grand so far.... Hey now we know it works... Right? Mind you! That price includes rear diff and shipping to canada, so I'd say close to 3 grand just for front diff.

To be completely honest, I believe it is. Because the hilux has the exact same diff in the front. I think it was just lack of understanding on both parties side, this is new to North America so Ecgs made do with it, and IMO made it a hell of a lot more reliable than what the Aussies had in mind, now the Aussies have no idea what a tacoma is in hardware in persay, and don't have one readily available to work on. Chase called harrop engineers directly and from what I got from it both parties got PO'd at each other and said f it. As you see chase talked to me directly and we had a good talk for about 30 min or so on what should be done on this build. Added expense came with the Ecgs diff fix because the harrop sent a metal sleeve that had .003 of an inch of clearance for the cv shaft, as we all know metal on metal is bad, we figured after extensive use it would weld itself to the diff so we fixed that issue. And as you read above welded a thicker grommet to the diff case to make the hole 1. Stronger, because its only 1/4 or 3/8 thick and 2. More surface area for the grommet to properly seal too with the aid of rtv gasket maker. That's all I got ATM I got a beer and a beautiful wife buggin me :p

Lol fair enough, it isn't as easy as a drop in, mind you the welding did not need to be done as well as drilling a hole, no different than drilling for an airline on a arb. But the grinding on the inside is a little work. The way the locker was shipped could have work the way it was but chase didn't feel the way the engineers designed it to rest on the case was good enough. So again he made it better to his liking. I agree not as easy as one two three but its at least another option for someone else to go with if they want. I figure this wasn't going to be too popular after the work was done, but alot of people think to much with there wallet instead of just doing something. It was an idea I had, I said I would test it, and I followed through with it. Haters gonna hate.

Well finally after my holidays got to inbox the diffs and with no surprise with my luck there was damage to the elocker wiring. Literally crushed to the point of seperation. And popped the grommet back into the housing. Minor easy fixes. Weld the cable back to get her and rtv the living shit out of the opening and grommet. Hooked up to battery and locker engaged just fine so close call. Tomorrow I'm whirring and relocating cb mic and install locker tomorrow night. Going to be a long day tomorrow.
