Wrong. Here's my valuable info. Call the guys go make the e lockers. Ask if it will fit a tacoma. Obviously no one here knows.

yes....it's electronic and electronics suck when your in the middle of know where..

also as stated by many others parts will be just about impossible to get your hands on so should you break down on a trip you had better be ready to sit on your ass and wait for the slow boat from overseas to get you up and running again.

I see absolutely no reason to fix something that isn't broken like the tried and true ARB.

Holy shit, some of you guys are blowing this way out of perportion. Some of you are hard core arb fans and i respect that. But when someone is trying to make more options for other people with open reaserch, please have more respect than coming in here and start a shit fest cause ur opinion matters. This was to see what other people thought, not to see whos dick is bigger. So please if you have nothing useful to say or contribute to the topic on hand the please GTFO. If additudes dont change ill get this thread locked and continue on my own.

Now i will keep digging, planning on making a phone call here in a day or so. Ill report back with better info.

Keep up the good work man. You have enough information to at least talk with them and see how feasible of an option it is and maybe get prices. from there the debate can begin about if it's worth pursuing.

Dude, I think it's great that you are trying to figure this stuff out. I understand the tried and true thoughts of others here but if you're willing to pony up the dough to do the research there shouldn't anybody arguing with you. Do it up and let us know!

Where real info is absent, skepticism flourishes.

So - do it - get more info, build it, document the process.

Turn "it could maybe be done" into "it has been done - and here's how."

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
There were aftermarket manual hubs offered at one time. They were expensive and no one really wanted to pay the price for them. They were offered by these guys.
Based on you thread earlier, I'm going to guess you don't know the generation years.

    95.5 an earlier = Pick-up
    95.5-2004 = Tacoma 1st gen
    +2005 = Tacoma 2nd Gen

... and they died out for the reason I stated. They couldn't build them in a cost effective way, so they couldn't sell them for a cost effective price. If they had lots of parts to borrow from other years, they could do it. The Gen II is an orphan.

I don't troll, buddy. All this chit chat and nothing has come of it. If it's possible I'm sure it'd be a good option for a few people.
