I'm going go try and keep this short, but will probably go long...

3 years ago I replaced the stock speakers with kicker ks series, sounds better but not great. Disappointed in bass response and lack of volume.
Installed a SKAR 5 channela few weeks ago. Splice speaker wires from the amp to the stock wiring, confirming color codes from two sources.
Splice in RCAs to the factory speaker output for signal on channels 1-4. Used the add an amp harness from Amazon for channel 5. (No subs are installed yet, need to finish the box)
Sound is MUCH better (as far as volume and bass is concerned). But the front balance is backward, Left is right, right is left. And the biggest kick is that only one of the front 6x9 woofer will play at a time, mid bass and tweeters both work. Woofer playback switches on and off everything the taco shuts all the way off. I hope this make sense.

Don't know what else to do except run all new speaker wires. Please help.

that doesn't solve the woofer/tweeters playing or not playing though.

Probably right. Need to see the wiring job and compare to the diagram.

How did you connect the HU speaker output to the RCA? Did you use a line output converter or did you just try to connect the L/R channels directly to an RCA pigtail? If you just connected to a pigtail, then you are feeding your amp a speaker level signal instead of the preamp level it needs.

That's another problem that I'm running into. Yes, I'm running speaker level inputs and ha e adjusted the gain so i dont hear the background hiss. A problem with this is that the stock HU is on sending 6 watts (unsure of the voltage) to channels 3 & 4, so they aren't playing loudly.
I had a few minutes before work, and played with the RCAs, this solved my balance issue, but not the issue of only one front stage speaker playing at a time.

I'm curious and frustrated about how to get 6 channels of input to the amp while only using a single add-an-amp kit. Thought of a massive splice job or getting a ton of Y-cable RCA adapters.

Those add an amp harnesses look like they're only good for a sub add on. What you need is a loc.

    https://www.crutchfield.com/p_161LC6IB/AudioControl-LC6i-Black.html

The gain knobs on your amp are not meant to adjust input voltage from your hu with speaker level input. You're going to chase problems if you don't install the amp correctly and possibly void any warranty on your amp when it fails from improper installation.

you're frustrated because all the major players here that know these things aren't chiming in. because the details we need to help you solve these things haven't been provided. i've ran ipods, phones, external bluetooth adapters, desktop computer hardware, and dsp's for audio sources. what you're doing shouldn't be all that complicated, and the fact that it is means that things are being done with an incorrect understanding.

Well, everything is solved. I picked up a LC7i, ran new 9 line from the HU to the LC7i and from the amp to the factory speak wiring. Sounds great!

Thank you for all of your support, I apologize that I wasn't more help.
