Front License Plate Bracket

I need to move my plate down so I can install a 32" LED behind the lower grill. I also have the skid plate to think of, so I think the plastic Dodge option is out.





I'm thinking that the stand-off bracket is the ticket to clear the skid and the lower cross bar on the Avid bumper bar.

 

Hey man check out my post on page one. Though it's a night shot, you can still see the plate mounted below the lower valence and the accessory lights above it.

I was interested in how you trimmed the license plate mount, not the lights. A side shot of the mount (contoured) on the bumper is what I was looking for.

 

taczilla, what brand is your front push bar/skids? I want that for my 2016. looks awesome.

Going to develop a front license plate lower holder with hinge soon, Got to get my GEORGIA Bull Dawgs tag back on. Will post soon.

 

Take a look. Just really chopped the bottom portion off so that it matched the bumper profile. All I used was a utility knife and some awesome spring loaded scissors that I have.

I made sure they didn't mount a license plate but on my last truck they did, never knew what to do with the holes so I left it on. Those lights are awesome!

 

why do some front bumpers comes with a holder and others do not?

 

Some states don't require a front license plate.

 

I warmed the holes up, and used the back of a Philips screwdriver and just pushed them back in. It is what it is!!!!

 

I just installed two stainless steel shcs in the holes. They look like they belong.

 

Under the bumper hinged license plate. $5 Lowe's hinge. Since the day I installed I also placed a long bolt to keep the plate from swinging too far back.

Calif use to be that way, no more waivers. Any large dealers will install the mount. I had a cobra and infiniti's with no plate. Got pulled over because of it because it was midnight when I got off work which is close to a bar. I said fuck this shit, if I ever was drinking I dont need to give anyone probable cause. Other than that I have a built in cop to sign shit off.

PS If anyone is replacing their OR one I am looking for a black bumper piece, dont mind any holes.
