Front Locker? IFS?

    Soo, can someone explain a Front Locker and Independent Front Suspension?

    IFS means i have no front diff, so how would you put a front diff locker on? o_O

    You still have a Front diff but you don't have solid axle tubes coming out of it. instead you have CV Shafts.

    So when putting on a Diff locker for the front is there a risk of damage to the CV shafts at all since it isnt a axel?

    if your talking about damage during installation then not likely but if you are talking about using the locker in rough terrain then yes you could find yourself in a position where using a locker could cause premature failure of a CV Shaft. most cv shafts are not as strong as solid axle setups.

    But if your asking if anyone on this forum would not install a front locker because they had front IFS? I don't think you would find anyone that wouldn't.

    So my last question is

    IFS without a locker produces the same results as having a unlocked, or LSD rear diff?
