If I remove front passenger seat are their any issues re sensors/airbag/etc that would preclude operating the truck without the seat in place?

    Thanks

    Phil

Only sensor on both seats would be on the driver’s side for the seatbelt buckle, and all that would do is just permanently have your dash light illuminated. You can trick the sensor into thinking the seatbelt is plugged in by jumping it with a resistor.

Otherwise no that’s the only electrical connection.

You say both sensors are on the drivers side? I'm curious, if you were to disconnect the seat belt sensor, would that stop the damn beeping when my dog sits up front with me?

There’s only one sensor related to the seats, and it’s the driver’s seat buckle sensor. If you’re asking about your 2018 truck I have no idea, this advice applies to 1995-2004 1st gen trucks.

On my '98 I swapped in Subaru seats and obviously didn't connect the seatbelt sensor.

No chime, no lights on the dash (after initial start up).

Weird, I unplugged mine years ago and no dash light is ever on. It just turns off the seatbelt nanny flasher. I have read that doing so will make the airbag go off even if you aren't wearing a seatbelt, but I never drive around without my seatbelt on.

A place to sleep when it’s rainy out.
    Also easier to unload/load.

My truck gets used a fair amount for hauling dirt bike and gear, I’m mostly camping.
I’ll take the seat out just for a prolonged dirt bike road trip.

Beautiful dog! I have a husky mix that loves truck rides, if he's not in the bed though the front seat becomes his
