Has anyone used these with a softopper? It doesn’t look like they’d interfere at all but it’s worth asking.

Not sure if this is the same one you have, but that flap might be a problem. I don’t think the toppers clamps would interfere. 44864295-3BD7-4596-A802-37D903CD6721.jpg

That’s the same topper I have. I just velcro that flap down. I think I could make it work fairly easily. I fold everything up anyway when I load the bikes. However would love to have a more secure tie down.

@At The Helm Do I need to have the bed rail header rail to install your tie down rail? Or can they just attach directly to the bed? Have '16 SR5 I would like to put them in.

Yes, you would need the factory bed rail to install these. This was originally designed for the second gen but works for third gens if you have that rail installed. Here is a link to it: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DWVN9CK

did you or do you make just corner gussets? similar but just braces the front corners with tie down points? Not the whole front crossmember par?

I installed these today. Pleased with product. Will be more pleased when I use it! Morgan @ ATH contacted me regarding some concerns I had about the mounting points. Regardless I was re-assured I installed everything as stated in the directions. Great customer service, thanks for reaching out to me.

For those with 3rd gens, I removed the factory bed rail cover so it now looks like a 2nd gen mount. I do not know what the purpose of that 3rd gen factory rail cover is? Anybody ?

Here's a pic of it installed on my 18 4x4.

**edit** after looking around it looks like it's a bed rail assembly that I removed. I'm really unsure If this toyota part is necessary. But I re-installed it later on..... due to boredom. So final result is more like the one quoted from OP

Do you still have some rails ready to ship?

The last picture, with 2 dirt bikes loaded up, do the front tires contact the side of the wheel wells at all? Asking because I have the short bed.

It should clear, the center of those tire detents are 10” from the factory rails that run along the sides of the bed for reference.
Yes, they are in stock and ready to ship
