    Good morning all.
I will finally be installing my Front Runner rack this Friday. I will be installing it on the canopy and do not have a rack over the cab yet.
Question is for those that have both cab and canopy racks...how far from the front edge of the canopy should tracks be installed so that if/when I add the cab rack they will line up close enough together?
I have a 2005 DCSB, ARE cap and the 1165 X 1358 Front Runner Rack.

Side note, I have not test fitted the rack over the canopy yet and I suspect that since the rack covers virtually the entire area on top that there is really only one way to install. But wanted to ask anyway to make sure.

Anyone have any tips they could share that they learned when doing the install?

    Thanks in advance.

The racks themselves have quite a bit of adjustability. I have both the canopy and cab racks. The canopy rack was first and I just eyeballed to get it centered. When the cab rack went on, I had to readjust the canopy rack to match. Not difficult, just takes some time for those of us with ocd. Also, you'll need taller feet for the canopy rack to match the height of the cab rack. I can pot some pics if you want.

Thanks for the reply. I did buy the taller feet.
When you said you had to adjust it, you mean front to back right? You slid the rack forward or backwards inside the track?
I'm trying to make sure I won't wind up with a gap between the two racks if I install the one over the cab as well.
I don't want to install the tracks to far back on the cap.

I had to adjust front/back and left/right to get it all square. I maybe have a half inch btwn the racks, and the canopy rack terminates just inside of where the canopy starts to curve downward into the glass.

In fact, now that I think about it, I had to cut the side tracks a few inches to make it so it wouldn't overhang the rear of the canopy. I think some pics are in order. I'll snap some when it once again becomes light outside. And throw up some measurements.

    Not even close really.
    Thanks for helping.
Good luck with the winter weather, snow and freezing rain here tomorrow apparently....not looking forward to the drive home from work tomorrow.

Ugh, don't remind me. At least I'm off work this week so can watch the chaos unfold on the news.
