    Hi, i'm wondering if anyone has an issue with their front drivers seat. It feels like i'm sitting on a wire under the last row of stitching. Not sure if it's a wire, or stiff stitching that will give over time and loosen up. Passenger seat not as bad/stiff.

    TIA

    :confused:

    no idea what yer talkin bout!

    but if you have some issue just with the seat design, and you simply don't like it, you can head to an upholstery shop and they can tweak the seat (foam, cover, etc). i did that because the seat was too high and too flat for me and was really uncomfortable. the fix is perfect. but i'm not sure about your issue, if you're saying you think something's wrong or if it's normal and you just don't like it.

    "et iunderhood" - FTW! :rofl::rofl::rofl:

    Just be glad your passenger seat doesn't look like there's a ghost inside...completely normal.

    I had the same issue on my driver's seat. I could feel a wire just under the stitching at the top left corner of the seat, kinda where the horizontal bolster meets the flat part of the seat where your ass sits. 2 different dealers looked at and said that is common, no need to worry.

    Yeah, no need to worry about a wire poking in your ass.... completely normal.

    So get a two-fer... Howling Rear and wire in the ass... Turd Gen.

    or that would turn into a 3-fer:

    OP howling about a wire in his ass while the rear is howling. Problem solved.

    4-fer... OP Howling about a wire in his ass + electrocuting him while his rear end is howling.... makes perfect sense.

    The seats do use wire to hold the seat covers down and into the shape they are. I bought some orange stitched covers and the wire is on the underneath side but only the foam holds them from not poking you in the arse. The wire is 2-3 times as thick as a wire coat hanger.

    Hello. My 2016 Tacoma SR5 had the same issue. The spring was almost poking thru the seats. Tried getting a new seat from Toyota but no luck. They send me to a local upholstery place to get it fixed. Got a rental though.
