Both my driver and passenger seat rubs on the center console. I don't know if this is normal or not but every other vehicle I've been in doesn't rub against the center like this. I've been stuffing a Microfiber towel between the seat and console for the lask few weeks and it looks tacky af. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Edit: maybe I've just gotten extra plush size

it's normal. and nothing to worry about, though i suspect that's not how you feel about it.

I always felt the seats were too close … I can see this rubbing off over time … unfortunately the dealership will do nothing about this since all the vehicles are like this .

I just showed this to my friend and he told me his 2014 camry has the same issue. He also told me he thought it was this way because he stretched out the seats because he's the size of a bus. His words not mine.

Get a rip saw out and cut 3 inches on each side of the console.jk Not much to do about it man mine is the same way just don't move your seat so much. Mine is set since day one and is ok with me just sayin.

I’m confused what issue do you think this is causing? Mine is the same and after 4 years of ownership mine has yet to cause me any kind of issue.

The rubbing makes some GM levels of squeaking when driving, which is why I've stuffed a towel between the seats and center console for now. But like the other guy said, first world problems.

A small piece of black adhesive-backed felt (or even the loop side of some Velcro) placed on the console where the seat rubs would likely alleviate the squeak, and should be mostly unnoticeable to the eye.

I have this going on in my 21 taco as well and the sound drives me crazy! I noticed if I open the lid the sound stops so it's definitely rubbing there. I'm thinking felt or maybe some leather softener?
