I’m buying 3rd gen (2016) OR front shock and coil assemblies. However, the seller no longer had the 3 (Per shock assembly) top hat 14mm bolts. I have a 2015 TRD Sport, will the bolts from my 2015 fit the threaded studs on the shock top hat? If not, does someone have a part number for the bolts? Thanks

Nuts or studs, no bolts are used on the top. Yes they are the same.

If they are the same part from 5th gen 4runner I have a set of 6 you can have for the cost of shipping.

Thanks, meant to say nuts not bolts, coffee hadn’t kicked in by then.

I believe they are the same, but I’m just gonna reuse my 2015, they’re in good shape. Thanks anyway, I appreciate the offer!

Does anyone know the size of the threaded studs on top of the shock mount, the threads on one of the studs are boogered-up and I need to get a die to attempt to clean them up. I know the nut part number that fits on the studs (Strut Mount Nut 9008017215), but unfortunately the part description doesn’t say the size of the nut opening/thread.

Worst comes to worse I’ll take a trip down to Home Depot and use their nut sizer, but trying to avoid that as HD has been a mad house during the pandemic.690EEE3C-4E94-41A7-8E1E-B88BDCFD786C.jpg

@Micbt25 maybe a local hardware store won't be as crazy. Ass U Meeing they haven't been put out of business by home cheapo or blowes.

I swapped mine a few months ago. I can see that the TPI is 20. I only have a partial SAE tap/die set. I assume this is metric and from a few quick measurements I'd guess the thread is 10 or 11mm and definitely 20 TPI. You could at least give that a shot and/or get a few in that range and one will hit the mark.

Thanks for the replies it turned out to be M10-1.25, ordered the die, hopefully it does the trick, so I don’t have to buy a new shock mount.

Yup, most times these days my SAE tools just sit and collect dust, I started with Ford full-size trucks 3 decades ago and pretty much only have imports

I’m putting a 1.5 leveling on my 2020 Tacoma and the spacer is 3/4 of an inch . And I need a smaller nut and I want to know what size it’s?

It’s a bit vague what you’re asking. Someone who isn’t ignorant to lifting leveling spacers like myself, would probably be more helpful. Pictures showing why the existing nuts won’t work, brand spacer used could be helpful. Your friendly neighborhood hardware store might be willing to walk out to your truck with a thread pitch gauge and calipers to measure.
